Privacy Policy

This is an English translation of the Japanese Privacy Policy, provided for reference. If the two versions differ, the Japanese version takes precedence.

This page explains how Chiro Lab ("this site") handles the information of the people who visit it.

Operator

The site is called Chiro Lab, and it is run by Kirin.

How personal information is handled

This site has no member registration and no contact form. Apart from the comment section, it does not collect personal information such as names or email addresses from visitors.

If you contact me through X or similar, I use your message only to reply to you. I will not give it to a third party without your consent.

Comments

Posts have a section where you can send a comment. I review each comment before it is shown on that post's page.

• Information stored: the name you enter (or "Anonymous" if you leave it blank), the text of the comment, the time you sent it, and which post it was sent to.
• Information not stored: your email address and your IP address. However, Cloudflare, which handles the communication, may process IP addresses.
• Information made public: after approval, your name and the text of the comment are shown so that anyone can read them. Please do not enter your real name in the name field.
• If a comment seems to contain personal information such as a real name, address, phone number or workplace, I may mask that part before publishing it, or I may not publish it.
• I may not publish advertising, abusive comments, or comments unrelated to the post.
• If you want a published comment removed, please contact me on X (@animal_empire_). I will remove it once I can confirm that it is your comment.

Cloudflare (Workers and D1) is used to receive and store comments. For notification, the content of a comment is sent to the Discord that the operator uses.

When you send a comment, Cloudflare Turnstile is used to check that the action is done by a human. Turnstile makes this decision using information such as browser information.

The Like button

The "Like" button under each post is made just for this site. It counts how many times it was pressed, per post, and stores that number (using Cloudflare Workers and D1). It does not store who pressed it, nor IP addresses.

To keep the same person from pressing it again and again on the same post, whether you pressed it is recorded inside your own browser (localStorage). This record is not sent to the server. It disappears if you clear the site data in your browser.

Language

This site has a Japanese version and an English version. To tell you that a page exists in another language, the site refers to the language setting of your browser.

When you switch languages, or close the notice, that choice is recorded inside your own browser (localStorage). This record is not sent to the server. It disappears if you clear the site data in your browser.

Access analytics

To understand how the site is viewed, this site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics. It aggregates information such as the pages viewed, the referring site, the country, the type of browser and device, and the page loading speed.

Cloudflare provides this feature as privacy-focused analytics. The handling of the aggregated information follows Cloudflare's privacy policy.

External services

This site uses the following external services. When you open a page, your browser may connect to the servers of these services, and information such as your IP address may be sent to them.

• Google Fonts (delivery of typefaces)
• YouTube (playing the videos embedded in posts)
• Cloudflare Turnstile (the human check when you send a comment)

How each service handles information follows the privacy policy of its provider.

Cookies

This site does not set any cookies of its own to identify visitors. However, external services, such as the embedded YouTube videos, may use cookies.

You can set your browser not to accept cookies.

Advertising

This site does not currently carry any advertising.

If I later place advertising delivered by a third party (such as Google AdSense) or affiliate links, I will add to this page the cookies that are used and how to stop the ads from being delivered.
